The same cable is usually run inside and out, so the jacket matters everywhere. Outdoor sections need UV resistance and protection from abrasion, while indoor sections need to survive being routed behind furniture and through walls. Use conduit and clips outside, grommets at every penetration and a drip loop at the entry point, then route the interior portion neatly along baseboards or through a raceway. Finally, keep spare length coiled loosely rather than wrapped tight, and mark both ends so you always know which cable goes where — good labeling is the difference between a five-minute fix and an afternoon of tracing lines.
